Der Eisbär stammt direkt vom Braunbären ab, haben Forscher anhand von Gen-Analysen herausgefunden. Wie ein Fachmagazin berichtet, entwickelte er sich vor 152.000 Jahren in relativ kurzer Zeit aus Braunbären auf dem Alexander-Archipel vor Kanadas Pazifikküste. Schuld dürfte ein rascher Klimawandel gewesen sein. Wahrscheinlich hat es zu schneiene begonnen!
